London, February 3, 2025 – The wait is over. The 2025 Sports Technology Awards shortlist has dropped, and it’s packed with the kind of innovation that turns heads, raises eyebrows, and redefines the sector.
From global tech titans to the freshest startups, this year’s lineup is proof that sports innovation isn’t just evolving – it’s sprinting ahead at record speed.
Heavyweights like Apple, Sony and F1 share the stage with disruptive newcomers, all creating seismic change through AI, blockchain, data, neuroscience, and new realities. The sheer scale and diversity of this year’s entries confirm one thing: the rulebook of sports is being rewritten and the competition to lead the charge is fiercer than ever.
This year’s all-star judging panel – a powerhouse mix of tech visionaries, business heavyweights, and sports legends – didn’t have it easy. Names like Alan Wyn Jones, Stef Reid, and Eni Aluko along with experts from F1, ATP, TikTok and Swansea and Purdue Universities, meticulously sifted through hundreds of entries to single out only the most brilliant innovations.
